We charge flat rates for most common design work such as Logo, Flyers, Business cards, Websites. This covers your initial design and amendments thereafter. if you would like to know the price for a particular design project contact us for details.
For a design we don't have a flat rate for then we charge a standard hourly rate of £30 an hour for that particular design work.
when we give a quote we will give you an estimated design time based on the design work we have previously done for similar projects. However, if you require lots of amendments the design time may go over the estimated design time. We will always keep you aware if design is due to go over the estimated time and we won’t proceed until you are happy to do so.
*If a design job is needed urgently, there will be a priority fee of £40
You can either give us a call, drop us an email. We are happy to listen to your ideas and give our creative input where needed. We will then give you an idea of timescale and price and, once approved, and you have our design brief submitted we will get started on your initial design.
The time of a design project differs massively from job to job. Once we know your requirements, we will provide you with an estimated timescale for the job based on similar projects we have done. We do this to give you a guide on the price and timescale of the job. However, if you require lots of amendments or if content (e.g. text) is not supplied, the design time may be longer. We will always keep you aware if design is due to go over the estimated time and we won’t proceed until you are happy to do so.
We keep everything we have designed on file so it can be accessed and/or changed in the future. This means that we can print multiple runs of an item without re-designing the whole thing or update a design if you want to change it in the future.
Once you’re happy and all costs are settled, the design is yours. We are able to supply your design in whatever format you require for you to use however you wish. We do also offer a printing service through our partner who provides next day delivery which we can give you a quote for if required.
Firstly, we need to know what format you want your design in (e.g. a business card or flyer) and the specification of this. For example, we would need to know if you require a double sided design. We also need to know the content you would like in the design. For example, this may include: the text, any images, your logo etc. This can be sent via email or if files are too large contact us and we’ll tell you how to uploads your files through our website.
You will have a consultation with one of our designers either face to face, over telephone or by email – whatever is best for you. The consultation will set out what you want the design to look like. For instance, you might supply us with images of design you like the look of, supply us with your branding guidelines or just let us know what you want the design to achieve. Our designers are experienced in understanding what you envision but the more information you can supply the designer, the more accurate the design will be to your requirements. The more information you provide also means that less amendments will be needed and the design will be completed faster.
We have thousands of fonts available to use, but it would be impossible for us to have every one. If you use a font that we don't have then it would be necessary for you to send us a copy of the font, or a link to somewhere it can be downloaded (assuming it is a free font). Alternatively, in many programs you can convert your text to 'curves' or 'outlines' and this is normally the best bet to avoid problems.
You can choose to use your own images within your design or we can source this for you. If you are supplying images we ask that it has a high resolution (clear/sharp - not fuzzy) so that it will look clear in the design. For design that will be used for print, we ask that the minimum DPI (dots per inch) is 300. We accept JPEG, PNG, PDF, TIFF, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop files which you can send to us via email or through our website.
If you provide us with your requirements we will be able to give you a ballpark figure of the cost. If you’re happy with the figure, we will then ask you to fill out a detailed website brief which will let us understand the specification of the job. After the brief, we may meet you for an initial meeting to get a comprehensive understanding of your needs. Once we have all the information we need, we’ll send you a proposal which outlines the full specification, timescales and costs for the website. Once you are happy with this we will begin the project.
The cost of your website varies based on the complexity, number of pages, functionality and how many revisions are required. The bigger the site and the more features that are required the higher the cost will be. If you give us your requirements, we will be able to give you an estimated quote.
Unlike many companies, we don’t charge monthly fees for your website. Once your site is completed, it is yours. The only ongoing costs are for hosting and domain names.
We also have maintenance and security package available if you decide to have one.
Content management system require updates to the back-end of the website such as database, framework, plugins, Security. Theses areas keep the website functioning and secure from hackers and online threats. we can provide an ongoing maintenance and security service for you so you never have to worry about the site not been up to date under the hood..
We optimise for search engines as much as possible by making all of our websites well and indexing them and implement the basic SEO (Search Engine Optimisation Techniques) so they are found on Google and other leading search engines. We also submit your site to google, Bing, Yahoo and the other major search engines. However, to get your website ranked as high as possible you will need to consider further ongoing Search Engine Optimisation or ‘SEO’ – we can advise you on this and talk through our SEO services with you.
Like with the cost of a website, the time it will take also depends on the complexity of your website. In the consultation phase of the project, we give you a proposed timeline based on your website brief and requirements. Generally, we state the below timescales:
- Concept designs – To be produced within 2 week of order confirmation
- Site build - To be completed within 4 weeks of design sign off and supply of content
- Final Amendments – To be made within 2 week following review and feedback
The more information a client supplies at the start of the project and the more accurate the information we are given, the quicker the website can be completed. If all content (e.g. the text for the website) is not supplied on time this will delay the process.
We can complete websites faster for urgent jobs for an additional priority fee.
We make all of our sites as secure as possible. However, we do offer additional security packages, which will prevent your site from security breaches and in the unlikely event that your website should be affected by security breaches we will fix this for you.
